A Bit About Me
Valerie has been an HR professional for over 25 years, logging countless hours helping employees and
managers overcome challenges in the workplace. She holds an MBA as well as a Master’s Degree in
Mental Health Counseling. Valerie, a lifelong learner, attended many additional classes and seminars
over the years always seeking to hone her skills as a coach and mentor.
Valerie has also taught a variety of business classes at the college level at Mass Bay Community College,
Southern NH University and Clark University. During her over 10 years of teaching, she connected on a
personal level with many of her students helping them create a resume, prepare for interviews, seek
internships, negotiate a job offer, and offer general career advice. Valerie would like to continue to
help college students and early career professionals with career clarity and confidence in the workplace.
Most of Valerie’s work experience has been in the CPG and retail space giving her a background in
customer service training and consumer trends. In the past few years, Valerie has been focused on the
HR benefit space, helping some of the premier grocery store retailers in the country with their benefit
needs. Valerie is a licensed insurance agent and would like to share that expertise with other small
businesses, as well as help individual employees, especially those new to the workforce, gain a better
understanding of their benefit plans.
Valerie has also found passion and purpose in helping herself and others to live their best lives by
creating a space and home that creates joy and comfort. A happy, single-home life involves being
comfortable where you live and being comfortable with your surroundings. Valerie believes it only takes
a little money, and some sweat equity to make your space and surroundings your own.
